What is Architecture?

Course admission conditions
To enter the Bachelor of Architecture course, students must have passed 12th class examination with at least 50% marks in Mathematics and English. It is a course of five years duration. JEE Advanced/Main, National Aptitude Test in for admission in this. Can give All India Entrance Exams like Architecture (NATA). By passing these you can get admission in your favorite college. The eligibility criteria may also vary from college to college. Some private universities also conduct their own entrance exams like BIRSAT, SRMEE etc. for admission to Bachelor of Architecture course. Diploma in Architecture course even after 10th can do. For this, it is necessary to have at least 50% marks in 10th class. Diploma is of three years duration.
Post graduation diploma is available in many private colleges, it is of one year duration. You can also choose planning in specialization. In this, one can make a career in environmental planning, urban and regional planning, housing, transportation planning, etc. There is also a lot of scope in construction management and industrial design. You can do Master of Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Course in Architecture, ASIC Course of Architecture Draftsman. After any course one has to register with the Council of Architects. In this way you become a registered architect and can also start your own work.
Job Opportunities & Positions
Youth with BArch, BTech or BPlan can get a job as an architect. There is a good demand for architects in government and private organizations. In the government sector, there is an opportunity to work in the Department of Archeology, National Building Organisation, Ministry of Defence, Railway Department, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Public Works Department. There are also job opportunities in architects firms universities, consulting companies etc. There are lucrative opportunities abroad, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai. With experience, you can also work as an architectural consultant by joining various construction companies. With this degree, mainly the posts of Architecture Designer, Architectural Engineer, Interior Designer, Architectural Draftsman, Technical Assistant Project Assistant Manager, Architectural Assistant, Landscape Architect will be available.
Required Skills and Challenges
The field of architecture is full of artistry. In modern times, you should have good knowledge of computer softwares. Understanding our client's needs for architecture and creating practical, convenient and beautiful designs is a top priority. The architect has to travel many times for his work. During this they may not necessarily find very comfortable conditions during site visits. There is no fixed limit on their working hours.
This happens on a project basis, so many hours of continuous work may be required at times. They can often have to bear the mental stress of this. Usually, it is not necessary that the project which is given to you should be of your choice, but you have to execute it with full efficiency.
What will be the income?
It is believed that in the field of engineering in a government job, an architect gets the best package. If you are working closely with a firm, then after internship 25 to 30 thousand rupees can be started from the month. On the basis of experience, one can earn one lakh rupees per month and even more.

NATA Entrance Exam:-
National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture, Pune for admission to B.Arch course. It is a unit of Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Qualifying in NATA or JEE Mains Paper 2 examination is an essential qualification from the Council of Architecture for admission to any architecture college.
